Attention journalists!  It is Green Eyeshade time again. The competition, which honors excellence in journalism, has issued its official call for entries. All entries must be postmarked by February 11, 2009.

The awards are open to journalists working in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia. Categories cover print, online, television, and radio. Entry fees are $50 for SPJ members and $75 for nonmembers.
